The Birth of a Vision

JEEVAN JYOTI FOUNDATION was born from a simple yet powerful vision of Smt. Bhagya Laxmi Padhi - to create an organization that would serve as a beacon of hope and transformation for underprivileged communities across Odisha.

In early 2023, after years of witnessing the struggles faced by marginalized communities in accessing basic healthcare, education, and opportunities, Smt. Padhi decided to transform her compassion into organized action. She gathered like-minded individuals who shared her passion for social service.

With an initial corpus of ₹10,000 and unwavering determination, the foundation was officially registered under the Indian Charitable & Religious Trust Act, 1920 in June 2023. The name 'Jeevan Jyoti' (Light of Life) was chosen to reflect the organization's mission to illuminate lives through compassionate service.

June 2023

Foundation Established

Official registration under Indian Charitable & Religious Trust Act, 1920. Smt. Bhagya Laxmi Padhi, Sri. Akhaya Kumar Padhy, and Sri. Purna Chandra Maharana become the first trustees.

July 2023

First Health Camp

Organized our inaugural health screening camp in Berhampur, serving over 200 community members with free medical check-ups and medicines.

August 2023

Education Support Program

Launched scholarship program for underprivileged students and distributed educational materials to 50 children from economically challenged families.

October 2023

Community Outreach Expansion

Extended services to 5 additional villages in Ganjam district, establishing regular health check-up points and community awareness programs.

December 2023

Winter Relief Campaign

Distributed blankets, warm clothing, and food supplies to 300 families affected by winter conditions in rural areas of Ganjam district.
